Dominican to Screen Visitors for H1N1 Flu Virus

Dominican to Screen Visitors for H1N1 Flu Virus
Dominican Hospital will screen visitors for flu-like symptoms at both the hospital and Dominican Rehabilitation Services beginning Nov. 30. The current policy of restricting visitors to those 16 and older will continue. Those with flu-like symptoms arriving for outpatient treatments will be required to wear a surgical mask. Access points will also be restricted. These measures are in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control recommendations to prevent the spread of H1N1 flu, according to a hospital press release. The Emergency Department will be unaffected by the restrictions.
