Change Your Clock, Change Your Batteries
Central Fire District reminds residents that Daylight Savings Time ends on Nov. 1. This is a good time to remember to change smoke alarm batteries.

Smoke alarms are an essential part of a family's home safety plan, but only if they are properly maintained.

If you do not have a smoke alarm in your home, Central Fire District can install a battery-operated smoke alarm in your home or change the batteries in existing alarms. This is a free service offered for residents living within the Central Fire Protection District.

For more information, contact Central's fire prevention division at 930 17th Ave. from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or call 479-6843.

If you do not live within Central Fire District, contact your local fire department.
