SV's Red Ribbon Week Promotes Drug-Free Lives
The city of Scotts Valley is concluding its celebration of "Red Ribbon Week" on Oct. 31 to encourage awareness of the fight against drugs.

During the week, city law enforcement and officials have worn the red ribbons as a way to honor the memory of drug enforcement agent Enrique Camarena, who was killed by drug traffickers in 1985.

Events have been marked by banners hung throughout the city, with school children receiving red ribbon bracelets.
