Climate Action Day
The Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors has proclaimed Oct. 24 as Climate Action Day, in keeping with celebrations of International Climate Action Day. The resolution urged county residents to discuss ways of reducing energy use and carbon dioxide emissions.

Celebrations that day will include three boats with banners displaying the number 350 (350 parts per million CO2 in the atmosphere is considered the safe limit for humans) and a march from the Santa Cruz Wharf to the Town Clock Plaza at 1 p.m. More information is available at www.350.org.
